Kokomo Rescue Mission

The Kokomo Rescue Mission was established in 1953 as a Christian social service ministry to serve the needy and homeless and to minister the love of Jesus to the whole person.  They provide shelter, food, clothing and assistance to people who are broken and hurting in six counties in central Indiana.  Support comes from donations and proceeds from two resale stores in Kokomo and Frankfort.  Their men's shelter offers crisis shelter, a 90-day residential work program, a long-term recovery program and transitional housing.  The women's shelter (Open Arms) provides crisis shelter for homeless women and children as well as intermediate and long-term residential programs.
