What We Believe

Statement of Faith

We declare and believe:

     - In Jesus Christ:  that He is God and man (John 1:1,14); that He became incarnate by the power of the Holy Spirit in the virgin
Mary and was born of her (Matthew 1:18-23); that He is the Savior (Luke 2:11) and mediator of the whole human race (I Timothy
2:5), if we, with full faith in Him, accept the grace offered in Jesus (John 3:16); that this Jesus suffered and died on the cross to
pay the penalty for the sin of the whole human race (John 1:29); that He was buried, arose on the third day (Luke 24:46),
ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9), and sitteth on the right hand of God to intercede for us (Romans 8:34).

     - That salvation, regeneration, sanctification (initial and entire), justification and redemption are through faith in the life, death,
resurrection, ascension and intercession of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Ephesians 4:1-13, I Thessalonians 5:23-
       24).

     - That Jesus Christ, by the grace of God, tasted death for every man; that one can partake of His divine benefits only by
repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, infants and the mentally impaired excepted, they being included in
       the covenant of God's grace (I Timothy 2:5-6, Acts 4:12, John 3:14, Luke 18:15-17, I Corinthians 15:20-22).

     - That heaven is a free gift (Romans 6:23); it is not earned or deserved (Ephesians 2:8-9).

     - That man is a sinner (Romans 3:23); he cannot save himself (Ephesians 2:8-9).

     - That God is merciful (Luke 6:36), but He is also just and therefore must punish sin (II Thessalonians 1:6).

     - That Jesus Christ is the infinite Godman (John 1:1,14); that He died on the cross to pay the penalty for man's sin and purchased
heaven for us, which He offers as a gift; that we receive this gift through faith; that faith is not mere intellectual assent, but
trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

Pursue peace with all men, and holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

Hebrews 12:14

Statement of Belief

We declare and believe:

     - That there is only one God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three eternal and co-equal persons: the Father, the Son
       and the Holy Spirit,

     - That the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the infallible Word of God and the only safe rule of faith and practice.

     - That man is in a state of spiritual death before God and is unable to liberate himself by any ability that he possesses by nature.

     - That he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

     - That the joy of the righteous and the punishment of the wicked will be eternal.

     - That all believers should follow the example of Christ in water baptism,

     - That the Lord's supper is an ordinance of Jesus Christ appointed in the church.

     - In the sanctity of the first day of the week (or Lord's Day) which ought to be observed and spent in public and private worship
       of God.

     - That it is our duty to be tender and affectionate to one another in honor preferring one another and to do all we can to
support, promote and spread the gospel.

     - That tithing is not a choice but a command of the Lord and that offerings will not be accepted by the Lord until the full tithe
       has been returned unto Him.

     - In the resurrection of the body of the just and the unjust and that God hath appointed a day in which He will judge the world
       in righteousness by Jesus Christ.

     - In the rapture of the church: that the dead in Christ shall rise first and that living believers will be caught up with them to meet
       the Lord in the air.

     - In the Holy Spirit: that He is equal in being with the Father and the Son, and that He comforts the faithful and guides them
       into all truth.

     - In and cherish all of the spiritual gifts listed by Paul in I Corinthians 12.  We will neither emphasize one more than another nor
in any way deny or suppress one done in scriptural order.

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

I Peter 3:15

Vision Statement

We are an independent, autonomous, holiness church that acknowledges only the Lord Jesus Christ as its Head; the Holy Scriptures as the only infallible guide in matters of life, faith, discipline and order; and the Holy Spirit as its Teacher.

Our purpose is to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through the edification of Christians teaching the Word of God; through worldwide proclamation of the Gospel; and through the ministering of people's spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and/or financial needs, emphasizing total obedience to the commands and will of God.
